Come join Columbus’ community involvement program, Keep Columbus Beautiful, as they help revitalize Parsons Avenue during this year’s Plant Pride on Parsons event. Each year volunteers from all over the city come out to clean up litter and graffiti while bringing some green to the area, which includes placing flowers in hand-painted containers up and down Parsons Avenue. The project improves store and home fronts on both sides of the two mile strip making a huge difference on how the community is perceived. Plant Pride on Parsons shows the city that there is pride in the Parsons corridor and that we as Columbus residents care enough to spend a few hours showing the residents of the South Side they're apart of this city too.
Please sign up to join Keep Columbus Beautiful for this award winning event. I attended the Plant Pride neighborhood beautification project last year and met so many wonderful people who care deeply about our city. It was a touching experience to speak to the residents and hearing their stories. I can promise you, it’s a richly rewarding experience, not just for the community but for the volunteers as well.
The revitalization of the South Side of Columbus has long been a focus for the city of Columbus’ leadership and you can be part of helping them achieve that goal by coming out for a few hours and giving the residents and businesses of Parsons the attention they deserve.
